What is GEMS International?

GEMS Girls' Clubs International wants to help bring girls into a living, dynamic relationship with Jesus Christ. No matter where they live, women and girls around the world are connected by God’s deep love for them, and GEMS wants them to experience that love!

At GEMS, we focus on building relationships. Women build relationships with girls, girls build relationships with each other, and—most importantly—girls strengthen their relationship with Jesus.

Plus, club is a place to belong! At club girls feel welcomed, and they get to be part of something exciting!

In club, girls:

Enjoy singing, creative movement, and dance
Memorize verses and pray together
Learn how to apply the Bible to their lives
Learn and develop life skills
Participate in team-building activities
Make creative and fun crafts
Do service projects that help others
Find answers to challenges that girls face today

Each club is made up of small groups. Each small group is made up of six to eight girls with one leader or counsellor. A counsellor is a godly woman who guides her group as they study the Bible, learn how it impacts their lives, and gain practical life skills. A counsellor is a role model and a friend.

GEMS International has clubs around the world in various churches and Christian organizations. We have material for girls between the ages of 5-18. We also provide training resources for women serving as counsellors.

The name GEMS is an acronym for Girls Everywhere Meeting the Saviour. Our name represents both our passion and mission.
