GEMS Sunday

Dear club and church leaders and pastor,

This letter brings warm greetings from the ministry of GEMS Girls’ Clubs International. We want to thank you for sharing the truth and hope of Jesus Christ with girls and women in your church and community through your partnership with GEMS. We continue to thank God for the opportunities we have to influence thousands of young lives for Him.

I would like to introduce you to an annual GEMS tradition that we call GEMS Sunday – a special day set aside to honor and celebrate the girls and women who serve in the GEMS International ministry. On GEMS Sunday, club leaders and girls conduct a special programme in church, informing the congregation of what they have been learning and doing in club for the past year. Typically, girls will lead in praise and worship, share creative movements to a worship song, read Scripture, share a skit, and/or share their testimonies of what God has been doing in their lives through GEMS. GEMS Sunday is a great way to let the congregation know what happens in club throughout the year, as well as provide GEMS girls with leadership opportunities in congregational worship.

It is our hope that you will begin now by scheduling a date and then together planning and preparing for your own GEMS Sunday service. It will be an inspirational service for all!
